Roanoke STEAM Day

Roanoke STEAM Day

Science is bigger than you think!

Area schools (including homeschooled) are invited to visit Downtown Roanoke for free a celebration of Science, Technology , Enginerering, Arts and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) at area museums.

2019 date to be announced!

Students will have an opportunity to  participate in an interactive and fun day that includes exhibitors, experts  and emerging technologies. In past years we have had NASA, the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, the Mobile STEM Lab and other fun and informative activities to excite students about the possibilities in S.T.E.A.M. that await them.

Roanoke S.T.E.A.M. Day  is hosted by locations that include the Science Museum of Western Virginia, Taubman Museum of Art, Virginia Museum of Transportation, Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute and Jefferson College of Health Sciences.  Each location will have activities targeted to specific age groups. There will be something there for students at every step of their academic careers.
